Urban Explorer and Amateur Photographer

I am an amateur photographer living in Newport South Wales. I have recently started urban exploration or by the slang name "Urbex".

    I have  been an amateur photographer for a few years, visiting local places of interest. My usual interest has been scenic and nature and macro shots, until recently browsing the web and coming across "Urbex".

Urbex is the photographing of historical places of interest, usually of derelict or abandoned properties. Hospitals, asylums, tunnels, schools, airfields, amusement parks, basically anything that has had a large impact on society and has been abandoned,forgotten and left to decay. Industrial sites like steelworks and collieries are popular as well as asylums. 

I recently decided to create a website to share my photographs and experiences with you......so here we are.

Included with the places I visit are links and information I have found from my hours of searching the world wide web. 

Being Welsh, I have decided to devote most of my time to historical places in Wales. I will also include any information I think useful or interesting regarding the History of Wales. 

My adventures are slight and limited at the moment, but with time they will grow.........
